The
first on-site RFID tag commissioning solution for large-scale
RFID deployments.
On Demand Offers On-Site RFID Tag Commissioning
Metal-mount RFID tags require
a rigid structure, adding complexity and cost to the
commissioning process. Now Omni-ID has solved the onsite
commissioning challenge for rigid tags by developing a
two-component solution not available with any other metal-mount
tags. The On Demand deployment solutions enable customers to
save on deployment costs and streamline the tag commissioning
process.
The On Demand tag system
consists of a high-performance, synthetic compound RFID label
and a rigid plasmonic structure component. The compound RFID
label can easily be printed and encoded using any industry
standard UHF RFID thermal transfer printer. The compound label
is then applied to the rigid plasmonic structure to create an
RFID tag identical in specifications to the standard Omni-ID
Prox™.
Typical RFID Tag Applications
-
The On Demand solution is
ideally suited for large-scale IT asset tracking
applications, easing RFID deployment by enabling:
-
Flexibility to assign tag
identification numbers in non-sequential order to conform
with legacy asset numbering or complex data sequences
-
Commissioning in batches
for pilot testing or phased implementations
-
Significantly lower cost
of adoption associated with bringing tag commissioning
in-house
-
Ease of deployment yet
high-read performance for environments with both metal and
non-metal assets
-
Same excellent read-range
performance on both metal and non-metal surfaces as a
factory manufactured Prox tag
-
UHF EPC Class-1 Gen2 tag
solution, compatible with industry standard printers,
readers, and software
-
Assembled tags are
attached to assets using high-performance self-adhesive
